This Code is a codification of the ordinances of Lincoln County of a general and permanent nature. As expressed in the Title I: General Provisions, the Code supersedes all such ordinances not included therein or recognized as continuing in force by reference thereto.
By definition, codification of law is the process of collecting and restating the law of a jurisdiction in certain areas, usually by subject, forming a legal code, i.e. a codex or book of law.
The titles and chapters of the Code are arranged in an order suggested by responsibilities within the County organization and grouped with departments that have responsibility for that section of the code. The sections within each chapter are labeled to facilitate usage.
There are two ways to view the content of the codes – using either the "Frames" or "No Frames" interface. We recommend using the "Frames" version for most users.
The "No Frames" version is recommended for Netscape users and for those with slower Internet connections.
